The President's Page...
Welcome fellow HBS Alumni and Club Members!
The Greater Cincinnati area is home to 300+ HBS Alumni, and as an official
member of the Global HBS Network, our club is part of a powerful global online
community, giving our members a more robust way of interacting and
communicating with the School and with fellow alumni and clubs around the
world. Our website will help you stay in touch and access frequently
updated and exclusive HBS materials, videos and live events.
The Harvard Business School Alumni Club of Cincinnati is well-positioned to
help our members make a difference...in their lives, in their businesses and in
the broader Cincinnati community. Our growing local alumni constituency
represents a cross-section of public, private and non-profit sectors, as well
as civic and community organizations.
If you're new to the area or you have just discovered us, we look forward to
having you join us at an upcoming event. Our event programming has
successfully focused on learning from and contributing to thought leadership
while building personal and professional networks.
We kicked off our 2011-12 membership year September 9 with a superb
presentation by HBS Professor Robert Kaplan, hosted by the Cincinnati Branch of
the Federal Bank of Cleveland. Professor Kaplan focused on the economic
crisis and its implications, through the lens of his new book on leadership.
The 2012 calendar year has gotten off to a great start with an evening at the
Cincinnati Playhouse In The Park, including a presentation by Mary
McCullough-Hudson, President & CEO of ArtsWave, and hosted by Buzz Ward, an
HBS alum and the Executive Director of the Playhouse for the past 20 years. On
May 17, we'll be hosting HBS Professor Paul Marshall for a luncheon and
presentation on "Turnaround Managers as Entrepreneurs."
Staying connected to HBS and its spirit of exploration and innovation is as
easy as joining the HBS Alumni Club of Cincinnati. We look forward to
seeing you at future events!
With very best regards,
